Maple Ridge Roof Moss Removal & Roof Cleaning Services

Asphalt, Fiberglass Laminate and Durroid shingles are the most common types of roofing materials you will encounter in Maple Ridge. Most homes, due to being a rancher or bi-level will get lots of sun exposure, as the roofs are of low pitch, and it allows the sun to hit sections of the roof that can sometimes become shaded if the roof is very steep or if the trees and vegetation provide shade which will encourage moss growth. Most roof in Maple Ridge have black staining or discoloration due to algae. Algae is not as destructive as moss; however, it does take away from the curb appeal. Our eco-friendly moss and algae roof treatment, over time with the help of mother nature, will gently remove the black stains from your roof. We do not power wash or soft wash any type of asphalt, fiberglass laminate or durroid shingles as this will cause major loss of protective granules from the shingle.

Location & Topography

Maple Ridge is located directly North of Langley and the Fraser River with Pitt Meadows to the West and Mission to the East. It is primarily a city which focuses on agriculture and forestry. Mature neighbourhoods are found throughout Maple Ridge and mostly populated with homes from the 1960’s to the 1980’s which includes mostly rancher or bi-level homes. Most new developments are in the East/Southeast sections of the city. Like most new housing developments, trees and vegetation will be minimal which will result in less roof maintenance being needed compared to older neighbourhoods with mature tall trees which provide shade for the growth of moss and algae.
