As a homeowner, I am sure you have called in a company at one time or another to remove loose debris off your roof such as twigs, leaves, pine needles and other dead organic material. Unfortunately your due diligence in maintaining your roof may not be paying off like you think. There are many companies in Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, basically throughout the lower mainland that do not have a roofing background, rather they have an exterior cleaning business. These companies employ many inexperienced personnel that do not have the knowledge and know how of how to walk safely and properly on a roof to ensure no roof damage such as cracking or splitting of shingles/tiles. The fact of the matter is that most of these companies specialize in services such as power washing, gutter cleaning, and window cleaning-not roofing.
Roofing is an entirely different type of service and it requires employees that can troubleshoot/repair existing or potential roofing issues, while providing homeowners with the trust that the job got done correctly. So when you are selecting a company to clean your roof for roof cleaning or roof moss removal, remember that paying a few dollars more for a roofing company to do it, may end up saving you extra money in the end.
